National Coffee Day

We couldn't let National Coffee Day go by without a mention of it here on our blog! While we chatted yesterday about a favorite cold-weather drink, the tasty chai latte, we still have to pay tribute to what gets our morning going every day.

This infographic is too cute not to share (and helpful when you're trying to decipher what to choose at your local coffee shop). Katie and I love a good cup o' joe during the week, but when we want to splurge a little bit, we'll go for a cappuccino or macchiato. But if I had a choice, a freshly brewed cup of french press coffee would be just right.

The best part about today is that there's some great coffee deals and freebies going on nationwide.

Dunkin' Donuts will give you a free medium cup of their hot, dark roast coffee, with a limit of one per guest today only. Then, beginning on September 30 and running through October 5, you can grab a cup of this bold brew for just 99 cents.

Krispy Kreme offers guests their choice of Krispy Kreme house, dark roast or decaf coffee for free. Or, you can purchase a mocha, latte or iced coffee for just $1.

Peet's Coffee and Tea wants you to celebrate National Coffee Day with a friend - purchase one beverage and receive another beverage of equal or lesser value for free today only.

Kangaroo Express has a great deal on their coffee today - a 12 oz. cup is just one penny between 6 and 10 am.

Caribou Coffee wants you to stop in for free samples of their Amy's blend and Starbucks will be celebrating the birthplace of coffee with tastings of its Ethiopian blend.

One thing's for sure, this Monday will be a caffeinated one!
